Are you ready to take your business to the next level? Or are you just getting started with a new business concept that you’re planning to launch? For success at either juncture, you need a clear, concise and accountable path.

On February 1st, at the Genesee Grande, WBOC is hosting the program – The One Page Business Plan: An Accountability Path for a Growing Business or Start-up – with special guest speaker Kerry Carney, a principal of Grenell Consulting and adjunct professor at  Le Moyne College’s Madden School of Business.

Kerry will impart the strategy of the One Page Business Plan – not as a simplistic approach to a complex issue – but as a blueprint for growth and accountability. This program will introduce a practical strategic planning process that will enable you to focus your intentions, collect your thoughts for building your business and document your plans on a single page.

Join WBOC in February and allow Kerry Carney to lead you in answering these five questions for your business growth:

·         What am I building?

·         What is the promise to my customer?

·         What results do I need to measure this year?

·         How will I grow and improve over time?

·         What projects am I committing to do this year?

Register now to commitment to turning your good business ideas into a solid business plan!

WISE is an initiative to train and inspire women interested in launching or growing a business venture. The objectives of all training and events are to provide information, resources, and support for women entrepreneurs, enabling each to successfully advance their businesses to the next stage of profitability and success. Our goal is to create a thriving community of women entrepreneurs through two initiatives: the one-day WISE Symposium and the year-round WISE Women’s Business Center.  The WISE Women’s Business Center provides expertise and support to business owners looking to grow to new levels of success. We offer counseling, coaching, consulting, and training. We also provide essential networking and mentoring opportunities.

SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to helping small businesses get off the ground, grow and achieve their goals through education and mentorship. We have been doing this for over fifty years.  Because our work is supported by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), and thanks to our network of 11,000+ volunteers, we are able to deliver our services at no charge or at very low cost.  Our 320+ chapters hold events and workshops locally across the U.S. and its territories, and match up entrepreneurs with local, volunteer mentors.

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) was created in 1953 as an independent agency of the federal government to aid, counsel, assist and protect the interests of small business concerns, to preserve free competitive enterprise and to maintain and strengthen the overall economy of our nation. We recognize that small business is critical to our economic recovery and strength, to building America's future, and to helping the United States compete in today's global marketplace. Although SBA has grown and evolved in the years since it was established in 1953, the bottom line mission remains the same. The SBA helps Americans start, build and grow businesses. Through an extensive network of field offices and partnerships with public and private organizations, SBA delivers its services to people throughout the United States, Puerto Rico, the U. S. Virgin Islands and Guam.

In addition the SBA developed the Emerging Leaders program which is an intensive training program to accelerate growth of high potential small businesses located in America’s cities.  Developed by the U.S. Small Business Administration, Emerging Leaders offers qualified business owners powerful benefits including innovative strategies to grow, acquire financing, access new markets and leverage networking.

This training is open to small business owners with companies located in the Syracuse area with annual revenues between $400,000 to $10 million that have been in business for at least three years. This training is not for start-up businesses. The only costs are your time and commitment to complete the curriculum. Anticipate 100+ hours of combined classroom, homework and peer-to-peer mentoring.
