Ellen Griffin is co-owner, with her husband Ed, of Fleet Feet Sports in Syracuse. Fleet Feet Sports is a nationally recognized franchise chain of 166 running stores, and the Syracuse stores’ sales are among the highest grossing in the country. Ellen created the customer loyalty program that is currently used by the chain nationwide. She developed inventory management and accounting practices that have significantly improved profitability and financial control, and has shared these with other independent retail owners. These contributions, combined with unparalleled customer service, led Fleet Feet in Syracuse to be recognized in 2012 as the CEO Centerstate Business of the Year for under 50 employees, and in the industry as the 2012 Running Store of the Year. Ellen was also awarded the Ann Michel award at the 2013 WISE (Women Igniting the Spirit of Entrepreneurship) Symposium
